We ask all members to maintain professional etiquette while utilizing the listserve. To do so, we request members adhere to the following guidelines: 

• Use descriptive titles in the subject line
• Include a signature tag on all messages so members can respond directly to you instead of the entire list if desired.
• Be brief and stay on topic
• Since replies go to all members, avoid “me too” and “thank you” messages to the group (they can be sent privately). 
• Use a new email for a new topic rather than replying to an unrelated email.
• Use professional judgment when sending and/or replying to messages.
• Do not repost or share messages, in any other form, without expressed permission of the author/poster. 

Although the email discussions are solely meant for CHETA members, confidentiality is not guaranteed as messages could be saved on computers and mobile devices for undetermined amounts of time. Moreover, Freedom of Information and Privacy laws do apply, so comments could be subject to legal scrutiny.

Subscribers who engage in unacceptable conduct (e.g., posting attacks and/or abusive messages) will be removed from the list.
