Presentations

Members and sponsors are invited to share their knowledge and experience at the conference during the concurrent sessions.  Any topic related to testing in higher education is suitable.  Some examples of pertinent topics include remote proctoring, test security & cheating, managing testing centres, privacy issues, accommodated testing, training procedures, technology, time management, test anxiety, advising,  validity studies and new testing tools.

Logistics

  • Presentations can be 30 or 60 minutes long with flexible formats (e.g., formal presentation, panel discussion, demonstration, group activity). Each sessions should allow time for a questions and answers (Q&A).   
  • LCD projectors and screens are available, but presenters will need to bring their own labtops.

Procedure

  • Download and complete the “Proposal to Present” form. 
  • Email an electronic copy of the form to present2020@cheta.ca by February 28th. 
  • The CHETA 2020 program committee will review all submissions and notify applicants via email of their status by mid March. 
  • Submissions will be evaluated based on their relevancy, clarity and structure.
  • Presenters with accepted proposals will be notified via email of specific date and time of presentation in late April.
  • Session titles and descriptions, and presenter name(s) and affiliation(s) will be included in the official conference program and posted on the CHETA conference website. 


BONUS: The conference fee will be waived for presenters so please do not register until you hear back from the CHETA 2020 program committee.  Please note, you must be a member of CHETA to have your fee waived.
